SALISBURY — One woman was injured and another was charged in a head-on collision Thursday afternoon on N.C. 152 near China Grove.
According to Trooper C.T. Walker with the N.C. Highway Patrol, Concord resident Beatriz Navarro failed to yield while turning onto Saw Road in a green SUV.
She struck a white passenger car going the opposite direction on N.C. 152, Walker said. The driver of that car, Mooresville resident Amy Barile, was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center with non-serious injuries.
There were three other passengers in the SUV, including two young children in car seats, but none were hurt in the wreck. Traffic was slowed temporarily at the intersection while emergency crews cleared the scene.
Navarro was charged with having no operator’s license and failing to yield the right of way.
