CONCORD – Chuck E. Cheese is hosting a fundraiser to help East Spencer resident Olympia Smyre raise money so her son, Amarion, can receive a diabetic alert dog.
Amarion, 8, has some developmental delays and is unable to express to his mother when his blood sugar levels are low.
The family has been hosting ongoing fundraisers to help pay for the diabetic alert dog. The dog and subsequent training costs $19,000 to $20,000.
This fundraiser will be held at Chuck E. Cheese, 7970 Lyles Lane Northwest, near Concord Mills Mall on Friday from 3 p.m.-9 p.m.
Fifteen percent of the sales will be donated to Guardian Angel Service Dogs for Amarion.
In order for the donation to count, those who participate must mention the fundraiser at each purchase.
