Thieves ransack home of drowned child's family during funeral

FAITH — The home of a 1-year-old who drowned in a neighbor’s fountain on Sept. 11 was ransacked following the child’s death, authorities said.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said the house was robbed between Sept. 14 and Sept. 16.The family found the home damaged after returning from the funeral Saturday.
Authorities said burglars emptied the home’s closets and dresser drawers.More than $4,000 in jewelry and clothes were stolen.
Parker James Lee Munn, son of Nicholas Munn and Jessica Kepley, died after investigators said the child was found in a nearby cement fountain on Rockwood Drive.
An incident report said thieves stole a jewelry box, 20 pairs of women’s shoes and a 57-inch television from the home.A wicker basket with a Bible inside was also taken from the child’s room.
