Rowan Regional cuts jobs

SALISBURY – Nineteen hospital staff members will either lose their jobs or have their hours cut as the result of a reorganization, Rowan Regional Medical Center President Dari Caldwell confirmed today.
Details were not immediately available about which staff positions were affected.
To reduce overhead and make health care more affordable, RRMC has reorganized patient care units and evaluated all departments, Caldwell said.
“All changes have been carefully evaluated, with the best possible care of our patients as our guiding principal,” she said. “Regrettably, these changes will result in 19 hospital staff members being impacted by either a reduction in work hours or position eliminations.”
