Noble appointed to state law enforcement group

John Noble, a retired officer with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and a longtime East Spencer aldermen, has been appointed to a three-year term with the N.C. Law Enforcement Officers Association.
Noble recently attended the association’s 50th anniversary celebration at the Lake Lure Inn.
Noble is one of three officers in the association’s District III There are four districts in the state.
Among the NCLEOA’s chief objectives is lobbying the General Assembly on behalf of the law enforcement community.
Noble was the 2010 Democratic nominee for Rowan County sheriff but lost the general election to Republican Kevin Auten.
