Salisbury’s Justin Ruffin is again the Athlete of the Week.

In his last game for Salisbury, a 35-28 playoff loss to South Iredell in the West 2AA Final, Ruffin went out with a bang. He rushed for 262 yards on only 19 carries. He scored on runs of 1, 61 and 2 yards.

For the season, Ruffin topped 100 yards nine times in 14 games and had 200-plus yards in three of his last four games. He finished with 1,724 rushing yards, which ranks 13th on the list of the county’s most prolific rushing seasons. He finished with 2,963 career rushing yards. He’s fourth on Salisbury’s all-time list.
