SALISBURY – Crews from MOSCA Design, based in Raleigh, were in Salisbury this week beginning the first phase of setting up downtown Christmas lights.
A crew of six men using bucket trucks and poles placed strands of warm-white LED lights into the maple trees along the sidewalks in the Gateway area on East Innes Street.
Crews also placed LED lights in the four holly trees planted on the corners of the Innes Street bridge that crosses over the railroad tracks. The row of crape myrtle trees in the median were given a double amount of warm-white mini-lights.
Each crape myrtle will hold 15 strands of 70 lights and will have their trunks wrapped with lights. Crews left Salisbury Thursday but will return at a later date to install other decorations.-Jon C. Lakey
