?GRANITE QUARRY – A woman was taken to the hospital Monday after her car overturned in a two-vehicle collision at Main and Church streets.
Chief Mark Cook of the Granite Quarry-Faith Joint Police Authority said state law prevented him from releasing names.
The incident occurred at 11:45 a.m.
A 41-year-old woman driving a Honda was traveling north onto Main Street.
The woman, who had a one passenger in the vehicle, turned left onto Church Street into the path of a Kia.
The driver of the Kia, a 32-year-old woman, had one passenger in her vehicle.
The driver of the Honda hit the Kia on the passenger’s side. The Honda overturned onto its side.
Both women suffered very minor injuries, Cook said.
The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital as a precaution, he said.
The Rowan County EMS, Granite Quarry and Faith fire departments responded along with the Rowan County Rescue Squad.
The Honda had to be cut open to remove the driver, Cook said.
No charges have been filed, he said.
