Reconsider site of central office
The current school board seems to have approached the new Rowan-Salisbury Schools offices with the fixed focus of “here is what we want, and nothing else will be considered.” When spending taxpayers funds, one would think that doing the project at the lowest possible cost would be an important consideration. Several other lower cost proposals were considered and duly rejected in favor of the current plans.
Then we had an election where the voters revolted against the current school board. The two incumbents that chose to run for re-election were defeated. One incumbent chose not to run again, and one incumbent was elected to the county commission. The net result is the seven-member school board will have four new members. This is certainly a major change.
With the opportunity to save the taxpayers perhaps a million dollars or more, surely the new school board will want to consider if it would be wise take another look at this project. If they can save us a substantial sum, we would be eternally grateful. If after reconsidering all the options, the current plan is the best, then we will know they did their due diligence.

Only one answer
After reading for several months the silliness of David Post and the bias of Elizabeth Cook and letters of opinion from your Post readers (for which I appreciate you allowing your readers to participate), I believe it is all best sized up by a message seen recently on a business marquee: “Do not depend on a donkey, nor an elephant, but depend on The Lamb.”
