?CHINA GROVE — The China Grove Police Department will collect toys for its annual toy drive beginning Saturday.
Police officers will set up from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot between Gary’s Barbecue and Jimmie’s Restaurant. There will also be a visit from Santa Claus at that time.
Since its inception four years ago, officers have collected more than 6,000 toys.
Unwrapped toys will be accepted Saturday on site or by contacting the agency to arrange pickup.
The police department will be working with Main Street Mission and Toys for Tots to distribute collected items and encourages the community’s participation for the drive.
