Would you like something to bring excitement to these cold, winter days?
The After-School Strings Program, sponsored by the Salisbury-Rowan Symphony Society, is starting a beginnersí class in violin, viola and cello.
This After-School Strings class will be held at Granite Quarry Elementary School and is open to anyone age 8 and up. The classes will be on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, 4:35-5:35, beginning Jan. 19.
Martha Smith, a music educator from Salisbury, will teach the class. She will be assisted by Becky Lippard.
This class is an addition to the current After-School Strings program, which is taught at Isenberg and Landis Elementary Schools in addition to the Granite Quarry site. Also part of the program is the Salisbury Junior Strings which meets at Isenberg Elementary School.
