The Rowan-Salisbury and Kannapolis city school systems have canceled classes Thursday. It is an optional workday for teachers and staff are to report one-hour late in Rowan-Salisbury schools.
It’s the fourth day lost to the winter storm that moved into the area with snow Monday and ice Tuesday.
The N.C. Carolina Department of Transportation said earlier today its crews were trying to get to secondary roads throughout the county.
No makeup day has been announced for Thursday’s classes in either system.
