BOSTON ó Reggie Jackson had 29 points, five rebounds and six assists to lead Boston College to a 75-66 victory over North Carolina State on Tuesday night.
Corey Raji added 14 points, including a key 3-pointer, to go with eight rebounds, and Biko Paris had 12 points for the Eagles (13-4, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference). Boston College has won 10 of its last 12 games.
The Eagles outscored the Wolfpack 18-6 over the final 3:59.
Tracy Smith led the Wolfpack (11-5, 1-1) with 18 points, while C. J. Leslie had 15. N.C State had its five-game winning streak snapped.
Rajiís 3-pointer from the left corner broke a 60-60 tie with 3:05 left and Paris followed with a 3 just 49 seconds later, moving the Eagles in front by six. It was Parisí 37th of the season. The 6-foot-1 senior had 36 in his prior three seasons.
Parisí 3-pointer with 3:59 to play had tied the game at 60-all.
Jackson then hit three free throws ó coming on two separate trips to the line ó making it 69-60 with 1:18 left.
BC had opened a 50-42 lead on Jacksonís 3-pointer from the top of the key with just over 101/2 minutes left, but N.C. State, behind Ryan Harrow and Scott Wood, scored 16 of the next 21 points. Harrow had 10 points and Wood 6.
N.C State, which seemed like it couldnít hit anything in the opening 11 minutes of the game, heated up by hitting 7 of its final 10 shots of the first half, cutting a 22-11 deficit to 28-26. In fact, Richard Howell nearly hit a three-quarter length of the court shot at the end of the half when he front-rimmed it.
The Wolfpack missed 18 of their first 23 shots in the game, many coming from short range as the Eagles hit four 3-pointers in the opening 8 minutes en route to their 11-point lead.
N.C State was coming off a 90-69 win at home against Wake Forest on Saturday in its ACC opener, the most points it has scored under fifth-year coach Sidney Lowe.
