Evening Studio Classes
Session 1
Drawing II ó Age 18 and up
Tuesday evenings, 6:30-9pm, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, Mar 1, 8
Charcoal, pencil, and contČ will be used to draw still life, landscapes in perspective, and the clothed model, body & portrait. Some drawing experience helpful. Clothed model provided for 2 sessions. Call WVAC or check the website for a materials list prior to class.

Perfecting your darkroom skills, Session I ó Age 16 and up
Tuesday evenings, 6:30-9pm, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, Mar 1, 8
Students in this photography class will learn to be comfortable in a darkroom environment, operating darkroom equipment, developing film, using processing chemicals, enlarging prints, using contrast filters, and more. For the experienced photography student who wants to learn or refresh darkroom skills. Students will receive certification for the use of the Linn-Norvell darkroom. Bring your 35mm film camera. WVAC provides two rolls of film and printing paper.
Class is limited to 6 students.

Beginning and intermediate wheel ó Age 16 and up
Tuesday evenings, 6:30-9pm, Feb 1, 8, 15, 22, Mar 1, 8
Make cups, mugs, bowls, and more. If youíre new to the potterís wheel, youíll learn skills to make pottery. If youíre a returning student, weíll focus on improving your skills. Fee includes 25 pounds of clay per student, glazing materials, and firing. Class is limited to 8 students.

For beginners or those students who want to practice their skills in 1 and 2 point perspective, composition, light/shadow, use of space, and more. Gain experience using ink and the crow quill pen, and finish with a completed pen and ink work. Call WVAC or check website for a materials list prior to class.

Session IILife drawing ó Age 18 and up

For beginners as well as repeat students, this class offers professional demonstrations and instruction with artist Don Michael. Learn different methods to make figure drawing easier, how to complete gesture and contour drawing, and the basics of sight measure. Put it all together to draw the figure! Want to work on your own, but still need a little help? This intermediate class is for the student with previous wheel experience who is ready to work independently. Refine your skills with as-needed assistance. Sorry, no beginners. Fee includes 25 pounds of clay per student, glazing materials, and firing. Class limited to 8 students.

Beginning Watercolor ó Age 12 and up

Discover the delights of free-flowing, vivid watercolor! This class will cover the fundamental techniques of watercolor painting, including materials, color mixing, composition and brush work.
Designed for students with little or no watercolor experience and for those who want to refresh their knowledge. Call WVAC or check the website for a materials list prior to the first class.

Come dressed to get messy and creative! Students join instructor Debbie Hoffman in exploring various artistic mediums, including paint and paper-craft.

Saturday, April 16, 11:30am-1:30 p.m. Ages 4-7 years with adult
Join us in an Earth Day workshop for the family. Participants will learn about our planet while creating an ěEarthyî art project. Dress for mess in this fun class! Fee is for one child and one adult.
