Suspect charged with 29 counts

A man accused of breaking into vehicles at a church and nightclub is in the Rowan County Detention Center under $178,000 secured bond, facing 29 charges and possibly more.
Rowan County Sheriff’s Office detectives were questioning Kacey Wayne Adams late Saturday afternoon. Authorities said more charges are pending as the investigation continues.
Adams is suspected of breaking into vehicles Jan. 1 at Cripple Creek Roadhouse and again Jan. 9 at Gold Hill Baptist Church during Sunday services.
Evidence was obtained through video surveillance and other sources, which led to identification of Adams as a suspect.
He is a suspect in similar offenses in Davidson and Stanly County. Joint cooperation between Rowan, Davidson and Stanly Counties resulted in the location and apprehension of Adams, according to a press release from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
