Scales to be certified at market May 4
Published 12:00 am Thursday, April 28, 2011
Those who sell produce and other items by weights must have their scales certified each year.
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture will be certifying weigh scales on Wednesday, May 4 at the Salisbury Farmers Market from 8:30-10:30 a.m.
Scales used for selling produce and other goods at markets need to be NTEP approved to be legal for use in North Carolina. This is to comply with laws dictated by the N.C. Department of Agriculture.
