“Artemis” announces another casting call for adults, Tuesday, May 3 at Cleveland Mall in Shelby.
More than a thousand adults will be needed during the course of filming.
“Artemis” will be directed by Gary Ross (of projects such as “Seabiscuit,” “Pleasantville and “Big”). The major studio production, will have an Oscar-nominated cast.
Filming will occur May through August in various areas of North Carolina.
All background will be paid. All should be available to work multiple days.
Extras Casting Coordinator Tona Dahlquist (“Leatherheads,” “Dear John,” “Forrest Gump” and the new Showtime series “Homeland”) says many adults will be needed to work as background.
“I am hoping to find some adults with great faces such as those that attended casting calls in the past for ‘Leatherheads’ and ‘3: The Dale Earnhardt Story’.” says Dahlquist.
Casting is in need of all types of adults, male and female, ages 18-80, short and tall, the guys at the barbershop, the lady down the street, the hard working guy and gal and/or those who appear they live the easy life.
Also seeking:
• Farmer, factory worker and/or coal miner types. Ages 18-80.
• Adult women ages 18-80. Slender to average frame. Light brown to dark brown or gray hair.
• All adult men of slender-average frame. Ages 18-80.
• Man with a handlebar mustache or unique/unusual facial hair.
• Military types, ages 20-50. Height, 6-foot-2 that wear a size 42 jacket.
The only youths to be seen at this call are those ages 10-17 of slender frame with brown hair. All must be available to work 2-6 days.
The Cleveland Mall is off Hwy. 74, 2001-53 E. Dixon Blvd., Shelby, from 4-7 p.m.
All attending should bring a non-returnable snapshot which can printed off computer on regular paper.
