ěGrand Slam,î fundraiser play for Dunbar Committee, is scheduled Friday, May 13-Sunday May 15 at Black Box Theater. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at door. Brightmoor Nursing Center is celebrating Nursing Home Week, May 9-13, with a Beach Fest/Carnival on May 13, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Event will include games, music, food and a dunking booth, all outdoors. Corn dogs, French fries, drinks, popcorn and corn on the cob all $1 each. Face painting and Cotton Candy also available.
Fish fry sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha-Delta Xi Omega today at Brown’s Barber Shop, 419 Craige St., 10 a.m. All proceeds will go to Miss Fashionetta contestant Delphia Henderson.
