North Rowan High School will be holding a driver education class for North Rowan students starting July 14th from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Students must be 141/2 years old to take the class. For more information, contact Bryan Mills at the school.
Bright Star Touring Theatre, a nationally touring professional theatre company based in Asheville, is visiting the area with its acclaimed production of “Professor Parsnip’s Lab of Healthy Choices.”
These performances will take place from July 14 to 17 and are sponsored by Rowan Public Library. They are free and open to the public.
In this 45-minute production, wacky Professor Parsnip takes young audiences on an adventure through science, teaching lessons on making good choices in diet, exercise and environment on the way.
The show was written for pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, but is fun for the whole family.
Bright Star Touring Theatre will perform “Professor Parsnip’s Lab of Healthy Choices” at: Rowan Public Library Headquarters in Salisbury on July 14 at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and July 16 at 2 p.m.; South Rowan Regional Library in China Grove on July 15 at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.; East Branch Library in Rockwell on July 16 at 10:30 a.m.; and Cleveland Town Tall in Cleveland on July 17 at 10:30 a.m.
