SALISBURY, N.C. — A Salisbury woman reported to police that her outbuilding was vandalized with spray paint yesterday.
Dianne Perez of Skyline Drive said that her children were playing in the yard when she noticed letters spray painted on the side of her outbuilding that read, “East Side Bloods.” Profanity was also sprayed on the side of the building.
The Salisbury Police Department is not certain if the incident is related to the gang-based vandalism of another Salisbury home owned by Honore Alexander reported June 16. In that incident, Alexander’s home and car were painted with various gang signs and profanity.
Police are investigating the incident.

• Linda Brown reported a hit and run at 1945 Jake Alexander Blvd. June 17. Brown reported that her van was in the parking lot of Welcome Finance Co. when an SUV backed into her van and then drove away. Damage was listed at $25.
• A Cornelius woman was arrested on a drunk and disorderly charge by a Salisbury Police Officer at an Amtrak terminal at the Salisbury depot June 17.
Heather Guthrie, 24, was arrested after officers responded to a call that someone was intoxicated and being disruptive at the Salisbury depot. Guthrie was reportedly asked to leave the Amtrak train, but refused. Officer Lancaster reported that when he arrived, Guthrie became irate and began cussing and screaming.
Guthrie was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Her bond was set at $1,500.
