SALISBURY — A second man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with a Salisbury home break-in reported in March.
The Salisbury Police Department arrested Robert Maurice Singletary, 20, also known as “Master Kill” or “M.K.,” at his home at 2345 Statesville Blvd. Warrants listing four felony charges had been issued for Singletary in May.
On March 26, a resident of Gannell Avenue reported that about $3,000 worth of items were stolen from his home, including audio-visual equipment, video games, a laptop, an mp3 player, clothes, a tattoo kit, a safe and miscellaneous papers.
About $1,000 worth of items were recovered, including the opened safe and the papers inside.
Singletary was charged Tuesday with breaking and entering a building, larceny after breaking and entering, safecracking and possession of stolen goods — all felonies.
He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $7,500 bond, and he was still listed as an inmate Wednesday afternoon.
In May, police arrested Vernon Tyree Clinding, 21, of 109 W. Miller Road, in connection with the same incident. He was charged with felony breaking and entering a building; felony safecracking; felony possession of stolen goods; second-degree trespassing; and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute marijuana.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Clinding remains in the Rowan County jail under a $25,000 secured bond.
