New York Mets reliever Bobby Parnell (East Rowan) got his third win of the season in a 7-6 triumph as he pitched 1 1/3 innings against the Florida Marlins only giving up one hit and surrending one run.
The outing moved Parnellís ERA to 3.10 and his WHIP to 1.41.
Kyle Seager (Northwest Cabarrus) had three hits to raise his average to .467 in Tacomaís 7-2 win against Salt Lake Friday. On the basepaths, Seager stole a base and scored a run.

The Kannapolis Intimadators picked up a 8-6 win against the Asheville Tourists Friday night at McCormick Field.
Kannapolis got two-hit nights from Trayce Thompson and Rangel Ravelo with Thompson driving in three runs and scoring three times. Terance Marin threw three scoreless innings in relief to get his second win of the season.
The Winston-Salem Dash pounded out a season-best 20 hits in a dominating 10-3 win against Potomac Friday night.
Tyler Saladino, Jared Mitchell and Andy Wilkins all had three hits each in the win that moved the Dash to 45-51 overall and 16-11 in the second half. Jake Petricka got the win on the mound to improve to 1-4. Daniel Wagner (South Rowan) had two hits and two RBI.

Dustin Bray (Asheboro) shot a 7-under 64 to claim a two-shot lead going into the weekend in the Heart of North Carolina Golf Classic in Asheboro Friday.
Bray is making his first NGA/Hooters Tour start since 2006 and has avoided a bogey on the 6,905-yard Pinewood Country Club course in the first two rounds. Bray has 10 birdies and two eagles for a 128 total. Multi-time NGA/Hooters Tour winner Jeff Coor trails Bray by two strokes with two rounds remaining.
n Catawba tennis camp
Catawba tennis camp still has some spots for its half-day camps on Aug. 1 through Aug. 4 and Aug. 8 through 11.
The drop-off is as early as 8:15 a.m. and the pick up is around noon. The camp includes drills, conditioning, match play and games.
