SALISBURY — The city’s parks and recreation department is competing with three others for the most prestigious parks award in the country.
Just making the final four for the National Gold Medal Awards for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management is a rare honor, said Gail Elder White, Salisbury’s director. The city has tried for eight years to win the award.
