SALISBURY — Authorities are investigating a number of car break-ins that occurred in the middle of the night at a couple of homes on Partridge Run.
William Lane of 120 Partridge Run reported someone took several items from his Chevrolet Blazer sometime between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 5:30 a.m.Thursday.
There is no indication of forced entry, said Rowan County Sheriff’s Capt. John Sifford.
Lane had a laptop taken, as well as his wallet that contained multiple credit cards, a checkbook and cash and a radar detector.
Ty Marshall of 220 Partridge Run reported someone took his tool belt with several tools and change from his Dodge pickup. The truck was last known secure on Wednesday around 4:20 p.m. and was discovered on Thursday at 7 a.m.
The truck was not forced open, a report said.
Jack Neubacher of 170 Partridge Run reported that between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 4 a.m. Thursday someone took his cell phone, GPS, tool bag and a power inverter from his Dodge pickup.
Neubacher heard his dogs barking, but didn’t see anything. His son called saying he’d just received a text from Neubacher’s cell phone.
When Neubacher went to his truck, he found his cell phone missing, as well as his tools.
There appeared to be no forced entry. No arrests have been made.
