The N.C. Department of Transportation has closed Enterprise Road at its intersection with Old U.S. 52 in Midway after a log truck overturned today, spilling logs into the roadway.
Crews are currently removing the logs from the road and working to upright the truck. NCDOT expects to reopen the road to traffic around 4 p.m.
Until then, motorists are advised to use the following detour route to avoid the closure:
• Take Enterprise Road to Payne Road to Hartman Road to Hickory Tree Road and follow it back to Old U.S. 52.
NCDOT encourages drivers to go slow and pay attention as they pass through the area.
