Man charged with stealing debit card

SALISBURYóA Salisbury man is accused of stealing the debit card of his girlfriendís mother and withdrawing $400 in two days, police say.
According to a Salisbury Police report, David Stephens, 27, used the debit card of his girlfriend Cynthia Atwellís mother on April 24 and 25.
The report said Atwellís mother had given her the card and told her the PIN so that Atwell could withdraw money for her. The incident was reported on May 4.
According to the report, Atwellís mother believes Stephens overheard her and used the PIN to withdraw cash at a nearby Wilco-Hess station at 500 E. Innes St.
Salisbury Police said Stephens was caught on the service stationís ATM surveillance camera.
Stephens was charged with three counts of misdemeanor credit card fraud and one count of felony financial card use.
He was given a $1,000 bond. He was released after posting bond.
