Lanes closing at I-85 bridge tonight
Motorists on I-85 will encounter lane closures and detours around N.C. 150 near Lexington in Davidson County beginning at 8 tonight and going through 6 a.m. Sunday.
Lane closures are needed to put equipment in place for continued work on the N.C. 150 bridge over I-85. At midnight each night through the weekend, a detour for southbound traffic will be set up as crews put a beam in place on the new N.C. 150 bridge.
Motorists traveling south on I-85 between midnight and 6 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday can use the following detour at Exit 85: Turn right at the top of the ramp. Drive .10 miles to a stop sign. Turn left on Old Salisbury Road. Drive one mile to stop sign. Turn left onto N.C. 150. Drive .25 miles to southbound I-85
The work is part of the I-85 Corridor Improvement Project near the Yadkin River in Davidson and Rowan counties.
