CHINA GROVE ó Mount Zion United Church of Christ will have an outdoor movie night this weekend.
The church, located at 1415 South Main St., will show ěToy Story 3î Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
The church is across from Food Lion.
Instead of charging admission, the church is requesting people to bring canned food items for the pantry at Main Street Mission.
Food requests have increased recently and the food supplies at the mission are dwindling fast.
The most requested items include the following:
macaroni and cheese
rice
pork and beans
soups
canned meats
canned pasta
spaghetti
spaghetti sauce
peanut butter
jelly
crackers
The movie will be shown in the ball field right behind the area of new construction. In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown in the hut, adjacent to the ball field.
Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome. Popcorn and drinks will be available.
