Williams 50th Anniversary

Billy Ray Williams and Mary Abernathy Williams of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 26, 2011, with a dinner and a trip to Myrtle Beach. They were married Aug. 26, 1961, at Shiloh Methodist Church in Granite Quarry by the Rev. Charles Page and the Rev. Bill Hoyle.
Billy retired from Fieldcrest Cannon after 49 years of service, and Mary retired after 39 years as a registered nurse.
Their children are Kimberly Williams Collins of Granite Quarry and the late Melisa Williams Chestnut. They have three grandchildren.
