CHARLOTTE ó The 10th annual Charlotte Biotechnology Conference is set for Oct. 27 at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Dr. Leroy Hood, president and co-founder of the Institute for Systems Biology and a pioneer in the systems approach to biology and medicine, will present the keynote address. A leader in the biotechnology field, Hood specializes in research that focuses on the study of molecular immunology, biotechnology and genomics.
The Charlotte Research Institute produces the Charlotte Biotechnology Conference at the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.
The conference provides insight from some of the most recognized biotechnology, business and research professionals from around the globe, in addition to highlighting regional opportunities and investment trends within the local biotechnology sector.
The Charlotte Research Institute is part of UNC-Charlotte and facilitates partnerships between the university’s applied research programs and government agencies, industry and academia.
