SALISBURY — Biscuit lovers will have an extra opportunity to satisfy their craving this evening while they support local schools.
Some Biscuitville restaurants — including the on Salisbury — are partnering with PTAs and other school organizations for the second annual Breakfast After Dark fundraising event, from which Biscuitville will donate 10 percent of sales to the organizations.
Breakfast After Dark will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., when Biscuitville restaurants normally are closed.
Customers who visit Biscuitville at 515 Jake Alexander Blvd. W. during the special evening hours can direct the donation for their purchase to the school of their choice by dropping their receipt into a box designated to that school. For drive-through orders, the cashier will add the receipt to the box specified by the customer.
Schools benefited include Granite Quarry Elementary, Rockwell Elementary and China Grove Middle.
All totaled, school organizations in 13 cities and towns served by Biscuitville restaurants are participating in the Breakfast After Dark fundraising event.
