Mt. Ulla farm has 69 registered head of Angus cattle

Joe K. Hampton and his wife, of Mount Ulla, ranked ninth in registering Angus beef cattle in North Carolina.
They have recorded 69 Angus with the American Angus Association during fiscal year 2011, which ended Sept. 30, according to Bryce Schumann, CEO of the American Angus Association.
Angus breeders across the nation registered 294,975 head of Angus cattle.
Collins Cattle Co, Cleveland, is a new member of the American Angus Association, as is Green Hills Gelbvieh, Mount Ulla.
The American Angus Association, with nearly 30,000 active adult and junior members, is the largest beef breed association in the world. Its computerized records include detailed information on nearly 19 million registered Angus. For more information about the Angus breed go to www.angus.org.
