Unity Presbyterian Churchís dedication for the new fellowship hall will take place Sunday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. Contractors, sub-contractors, Fuller Architecture and Jarrell Construction will be recognized. There will be special music by Ashley Stamp and Carla and Cindy, and Joel Stamp and Ben Kluttz will play guitar.

Christ Episcopal
CLEVELAND ó A fish fry fundraiser will be held at Christ Episcopal Church today, Saturday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m.-until. Cost is $8 for adults adn $5 for children.
Proceeds will go toward replacing the roofs on the church buildings, which were recently nomintated to the National Register of Historic Places. Christ Church celebrated its 175th anniversary in 1996.
The church is located at 3430 Old Hwy 70.
Mt. Mitchell UMC
KANNAPOLISó [0x14]Today at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church is the Autumn Fest from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with a Civil War reenactment held at 3 p.m. There will be food, arts, crafts and childrenís activities as well.
Mt. Mitchell will host a community Trunk or Treat event at Yost Park, 6001 Old Salisbury Concord Road on Oct. 29 from 6-8 p.m.
Madd Hatters postponed
The Madd Hatters program scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22 has been moved to Saturday, Nov. 5 at 4 p.m.
This is event is sponsored by the Nursing Ministry of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 719 S. Caldwell St.

First Presbyterian Kannapolis
KANNAPOLIS ó First Presbyterian Church will host a menís breakfast Sunday, Oct. 23, at 8 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Guest speaker will be David Beck, project manager of Facilities Management Group with Carolinas Healthcare Systems, with an update on the newest projects at CMC-NorthEast and the new CMC-Kannapolis site.

SPENCER ó The Rev. Ruth Lenger, former pastor of Spencer Presbyterian Church, will be the guest preacher at the 11 a.m. service Sunday, Oct. 23. Lenger served Spencer Presbyterian from 1995-2002.
The church is located on First Street off of Salisbury Avenue across from the entrance to the North Carolina Transportation Museum.
Soldiers Memorial
Homecoming will be observed on Sunday, Oct. 23 at Soldiers Memorial AME Zion. The Rev. Dr. Grant Harrison Jr., pastor, will lead the 11 a.m. service.
The Rev. Carolyn Bratton, pastor of Mooreís Chapel AME Zion Church, is guest preacher for the 3 p.m. service.
There will also be a three-night revival Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 24-26, with evangelist the Rev. Dr. Wayne Anthony Walker, pastor of Little Rock AME Zion in Charlotte.

Henderson Grove
Henderson Grove Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 199th church anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 23 The congregation was first organized in Oct. 1812. The 11 a.m. service will be conducted by the Rev. Perry J. Dye, pastor, followed by dinner. Guest speaker at the 3 p.m. service is the Rev. Isaiah Wheeler, pastor of Davidsonville Baptist Church in Statesville.
First Calvary Baptist
First Calvary Baptist Church observes Womenís Day on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Kenza G. Maxwell speaking. Special music will be provided by the combined choirs and a fellowship hour will follow the service.
Maxwell is an associate minister at New Life Christian Faith Ministries in Morven. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Livingstone College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary in Monroe.

St. Luke Baptist
The ushers ministry of Saint Luke Baptist Church, 410 Hawkinstown Road, will celebrate their annual day on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. Frank McCullough, senior pastor of New Waves of Joy Baptist Church of Charlotte. Light refreshments will be served following the service.

CHINA GROVE ó The 70th homecoming birthday for Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 365 Brown Road, will be held Sunday, Oct. 23 at the 11 a.m. service.
The Hochstetler Family from Woodleaf will present special music, as well as Dr. and Mrs. Bill Dailey.
Five new members will join the church and there will be a dedication of the baby grand piano, new hymnals, new trees and shrubbery.

Eric Reid and the Echoes of Heaven are celebrating their fifth anniversary at United House of Prayer for All People on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. Guests include The Gospel Truetones, The Bailey McCollough Saints, The Echoes for Christ and others. Resurrection Life
Resurrection Life Church, located at 216 S. Main St., will conduct its fourth Sunday service of prayer and healing on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m.
Pastor Jerry Snipes will present a clear, concise explanation of the basics of Biblical teaching concerning Godís will to heal, including foundational scriptures on healing and teaching how to apply them to specific needs. A time of prayer and Holy communion will follow.
Main Street Baptist
CHINA GROVE ó Main Street Baptist Church will have Best of Main Street song service at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23. Finger foods and refreshments will be served immediately following the service.
On Oct. 29 the church will have a Fall Festival from 6-8:30 p.m. at the church with games, crafts, food, hay ride, and trunk or treat.
On Sunday Oct. 30 the church will have a gospel singing concert featuring the Gospelaires from Mooresville. The service will start at 6 p.m. and immediately following there will be light refreshments.

Rhema Praise
SPENCER ó Sunday through Friday, Oct. 23-28, Rhema Praise and Worship Church of 117 Long Ferry Road, where Alonza Williams Sr. is pastor, will host a week-long dedication service. Prayer will begin at 7 p.m. and services begin at 7:40 p.m. On Sunday, the evening prayer service begins at 3:30 p.m. and the service will start at 4 p.m.

Bethel Lutheran
Bethel Lutheran Church, 355 E. Ridge Road, will host a benefit fundraiser soup and sandwich meal on Sunday, Oct. 30 at noon.

First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church will host its annual Fall Festival on Sun., Oct. 30 from 4-6 p.m. with the theme of ěFind the Hero in Yourself.î Adults and children are invited to come dressed as a favorite super hero or any other character. Activities include trunk or treat, inflatables, antique fire truck rides, a karate demonstration, new games and prizes and a hay ride.
In addition, First Baptist Churchís Wee Center will hold a bake sale. To raise funds for the annual Haiti mission trip, the Haiti team will be selling chick-n-chips (chicken strips and french fries). Bring two canned food items for Rowan Helping Ministries to exchange for game tickets.

Center Grove bazaar
KANNAPOLIS ó Center Grove Lutheran Church, 1601 S. Cannon Blvd., will have a Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 5. from 8. a.m. to 7 p.m. featuring homemade pies, cookies, brownies, cakes, and crafts on sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
Sausage biscuits and beverages will be sold from 8-10 a.m. inside with hot dog sale following from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. outside. Extra activities feature the Fire, Police and Sheriff Departments, scouting, games, and a concert to end the day at 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit Center Grove Lutheran Church outreach programs to the community.
