LANDIS ó The annual Landis Fall Festival will take place this weekend in downtown Landis.
The Saturday event is free to the public and is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
ěWe encourage everybody to come out and enjoy their downtown activities,î said Town Manager Reed Linn.
This is the second year the town has held its fall festival.
ěIt was well received last year,î Linn said.
There will be a pumpkin patch where people can paint a pumpkin.
The hayride will start near South Chapel Street and continue for about eight blocks.
There will also be hot dogs, popcorn, drinks, coffee and hot chocolate available.
Craft vendors will be on hand to sell their goods from painted stemware, jewelry to baked goods.
A DJ will provide entertainment as well as karaoke.
The town will block the 100 block of S. Central Avenue and the 200 block of East Mill Street.
First United Methodist Church will also have a Trunk or Treat, two bounce houses and a slide.
The town will also participate in the Trunk or Treat with town vehicles including the fire department, police and public works.
Most of the town staff will be dressed in costume and attendees are invited to wear their Halloween costumes as well.
