Atwood Allen Wedding
Stephne Ann Atwood and Peter Marcus Allen were united in marriage Nov. 5, 2011, at Enon Baptist Church. The Rev. John Allen, uncle of the groom, officiated the 4:30 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at Rowan Historic Museum.
The bride was escorted by her father, Kirby Atwood. Attending as matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Tiffany Wallace, and maids of honor were Ashley Miller and Laura Holman. Bridesmaids were Jodi Allen, sister of the groom, Katelyn Elium, Brooke Taylor and Kristen Waller. Reagan Harrington, niece of the groom, was flower girl.
The best man was Cole Campbell. Serving as groomsmen were Trevor Atwood, brother of the bride, Joe Crossen, Brian Graham, Luke Overcash, Patrick Smith and Seth Waller. The ring bearer was nephew of the bride Jackson Wallace.
The wedding ceremony was directed by Michelle Hatfield. Soloists were Jeff Chapman and Kimberly Williams. Lea Anne Thomas was pianist and organist. Register and program attendants were Faith Archer and Kristy Wilson.
The rehearsal dinner was held at Enon Baptist Church. A special slideshow presentation was prepared for the couple and shared with the guests.
The bride is the daughter of Kirby and Daphne Atwood of Woodleaf and the granddaughter of Thomas and Ruby Snider of Woodleaf and the late Emmett and Bettie Atwood of Salisbury. She is a 2008 graduate of West Rowan High School and a 2011 graduate of Catawba College. Stephne is employed as a Client Services Manager with Bayada Nurses of Lexington.
The groom is the son of Denise and Gregory Grisdale of Aniston, Ala., and the late Mark Allen of Salisbury. He is the grandson of Beatrice Hale and the late Joseph Hale of Alabama and Hazel Allen and the late Paul Allen of Salisbury. A 2004 graduate of West Rowan High School, Peter is employed with Henkel of Salisbury.
The bride and groom were honored with several showers by friends and family. A bridesmaid luncheon was hosted Friday by Brenda Archer, great-aunt of the bride, at Salisbury Country Club.
Following a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, the couple will make their home in Salisbury.
