Kluttz Frenzel Wedding
NEW BERN — Lauren Elizabeth Kluttz and Richard Bryan Frenzel II were united in marriage Oct. 15, 2011, at Abilena Mansion and Riverfront Plantation. The Rev. Bonnie Compton officiated the 3:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception.
The bride was escorted by her father, Jesse T. “J.T.” Kluttz Jr., and attended by her twin sister, Jessica Kluttz Swean of Raleigh, as matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Amy Armada of Indianapolis, Ind., Marisa Wilson of Charlotte, Sarah Briley of Winterville, Saira Saleh of Chicago, Ill., Traci Fleming of Woodleaf, sister of the groom Katy Frenzel of Virginia Beach, Va., and Erin Rusher of Salisbury.
Rick Frenzel stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen included Tony Lackey of New Bern, Eric Winters of Rockport, Maine, Chip Sevila of Virginia Beach, Va., Ian Fregin of Virginia Beach, Va., Danny Rose of Aldie, Va., Doug Craig of Geneva, Ill., and Justin D’Avella of Berkeley, Calif.
Nicole Craven, cousin of the bride of Charlotte, served as greeter and reader. Dogs of honor were Barley Maize, escorted by the groom, and Bella Elizabeth, escorted by Jimmy Stewart of South Riding, Va.
The bride is the daughter of Jesse T. “J.T.” and Debbie Kluttz of Salisbury and the granddaughter of the late Jesse T. and Bertha Kluttz and the late Roland and Helen Craven. A 1998 graduate of West Rowan High School, Lauren graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 2002 and earned her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2005 from East Carolina University. She is a physical therapist for Ardor Health Solutions.
The groom is the son of Rick and Betty Frenzel of New Bern and the grandson of the late Franklin and Lorraine Frenzel and the late Foster and Irene Shifflett. A 1995 graduate of Loudoun County High School, Bryan received a BA in Psychology from West Virginia University in 2001; a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in 2005; and will receive his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute in 2012. He is a Pre-Doctoral Psychology Intern at Broughton Hospital.
The couple are making their home in Morganton.
