Disabled man victim of home invasion

Three men forced their way into a South Caldwell Street home this morning, assaulting a disabled man and taking more than $500 in jewelry.
According to a Salisbury Police report, a man knocked on the door of the home at about 2:40 a.m. and asked the 55-year-old man if he could call someone to help him with a flat tire.
Two other men rushed the home owner, forcing the man out of his motorized wheelchair and into the hallway.
The men ran from the bedroom to the kitchen, stealing a Wake Forest University class ring, other assorted jewelry and more than $500 in cash.
The men were seen leaving the residence in an older model white Nissan truck.
Two of the men were described as black males in their 20s or early 30s, one of them was about 260 pounds, 6 feet tall, and the other was about 160 pounds, 5 feet 11 inches.
The third man was described as a black male in his early 40s and bald.
Salisbury Police are investigating the incident.
