The North Carolina Research Campus’ (NCRC) and the Piedmont Farmers Market indoor, year-round farmers market is going all out for the holidays. Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 120 West Ave., the fifth annual Holiday Market will offer local and North Carolina-based products from produce to trees to gifts.
“The NCRC is committed to promoting good food choices, supporting farmers and local business and bringing our community together,” said Phyllis Beaver, NCRC marketing director. “The indoor, year-round market does both every Thursday, but the Holiday Market ups the ante with the best of everything a family could want to celebrate the holidays from delicious foods to the most original gifts.”
The Holiday Market annually draws hundreds of people from as far away as South Carolina and Virginia who find a variety of products and merchandise including fresh fruits and vegetables, cakes and other baked goods, jellies, jams, canned goods, candles, jewelry, jackets, North Carolina Christmas trees, wreaths, North Carolina wines and juices and hand-crafted gifts. The Holiday Market provides musical entertainment, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, horse-drawn carriage rides and children’s activities. Only cash or check accepted with prices to suit every budget.
