Montgomery Cross Wedding
CONCORD — Amanda Marie Montgomery and Matthew Leavy Cross, both of Salisbury, were united in marriage Sept. 3, 2011, at Charlotte Motor Speedway Club. The Rev. Merle Perkins officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception.
The bride was escorted by her father, Tracy Montgomery, and attended by Lashonda Emanuel of Cleveland as maid of honor.
Sean Cross of Fayetteville stood as his brother’s best man. Ushers included Josh Rhoades, David “Sammy” Teate and Jaymie Russ.
Connor Cross of Fayetteville was the flower boy, and Reid Duncan served as guest registrar.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Menius of China Grove and Mr. Tracy Montgomery of Salisbury. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Montgomery and Mrs. Evelyn Montgomery, all of Salisbury. A 2000 graduate of West Rowan High School, Amanda received an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 2008, graduating magna cum laude. She is employed by Brian Center in Salisbury.
The groom is the son of Mr. Arthur Cross Jr., of Statesville and Mrs. Connye Cross of Cornelius. A 1999 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School, Matthew received a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Catawba College in 2004. He is employed by Promats Athletics.
Following a wedding trip to Europe, the couple are making their home in Salisbury.
