EAST SPENCER ó Authorities have little to work with after a week of investigating Travis Hindsí shooting death at an East Spencer house.
East Spencer Police Chief Darren Westmoreland told the Post Friday night he had ěno new informationî in the death as investigators continue to ask community members with information to come forward.
ěWeíre still working on it,î Westmoreland said. ěI donít have anything I can give you right now.î
Hinds, 20, was shot twice, once in the head, at 913 Cedar St. about 3:45 a.m. last Sunday.
Authorities said there were about 30 to 40 people at the house when shots were fired. Hindsí family members said they were told by officers at the scene that as many as 70 were at the residence.
Hinds went to the house, which family members described as an ěafter hoursî place, with two friends that morning. Hinds is survived by his wife, Tyquisha, and his 6-month-old son, Taron.
East Spencer Police are asking anyone with information to call 704-637-1660 or Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245.
