The following are government closings for the Thanksgiving holiday and changes, if any, to services:
Rowan County offices will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday.
Convenience/recycling centers will close at noon Wednesday, will be closed Thursday and Friday and will reopen on Saturday.
The processing center will close at noon Wednesday and will be closed Thursday and Friday.
The landfill will be closed Thursday only and will reopen on Friday.
Landis town offices closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage collection will not be affected.
China Grove town offices closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage collection will not be affected.
Spencer Town Hall will be closed on Thursday and Friday and will close at noon Wednesday for the Holiday Caravan.
The garbage schedule will not change, with service running Monday through Wednesday as usual.
East Spencer town offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Granite Quarry town offices will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage collection is not affected.
Rockwell offices will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage collection is not affected.
Salisbury will operate and provide services on the following schedule during the Thanksgiving holiday:
All city office buildings will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday.
Salisburyís Solid Waste Division will offer garbage and recycling collection on normal schedule throughout the week of Thanksgiving.
The cityís Street Division will offer limb collection from Monday to Wednesday, with no limbs collected on Thursday or Friday.
The Transit Division will offer regular bus services on Monday and Tuesday. Buses will operate on Wednesday as normal except during the Spencer and Salisbury Christmas parades, which begin at 2 p.m. Residents should consider alternate transportation during parade times.
There will be no bus services on Thanksgiving Day. All transit routes will resume on Friday, with buses operating from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
On Saturday, the Transit Division will resume the standard operating schedule.
The gate to the Salisbury Community Park will be closed on Thanksgiving Day but reopen at 8 a.m. Friday. All city recreation centers will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday.
Fibrant sales offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Fibrant technical support will be staffed and available on Thanksgiving Day and throughout the holiday weekend. For assistance during this time, customers may call 704-216-7567, Option 1 for Internet, Option 2 for video or phone. Scheduled residential installations for Fibrant will take place Friday until 5 p.m.
Kannapolis city offices will be closed Thursday and Friday. Garbage, loose leaf and yard waste and recycling will not be picked up on Thursday and residents with regularly scheduled collection on Thanksgiving Day will receive service on Friday.
Regularly scheduled garbage, loose leaf collection and recycling service will resume on Friday. Customers with regularly scheduled collection on Friday will receive service on Saturday.
The Social Security Administration, 1816 E. Innes St., will be closed Thursday and Friday.
