Two men were arrested Tuesday night after Salisbury Police said they had .46 ounces of marijuana inside a Mason jar in their SUV.
An arrest report said officers stopped a blue 2005 Ford Escape about 10:15 p.m. for a minor traffic violation.
Police said 24-year-old John Calvin Sifford III and 24-year-old Darmarcus Antonio Richardson were arrested after officers reported finding small bags of marijuana on both passengers and an additional 13 grams inside a Mason jar in the vehicle’s glove box.
Officers said they found two digital scales near the passenger floorboard area and seized $220 in cash from the vehicle.
Sifford, 209 Mocksville Ave., was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for storing drugs and possession of marijuana.
Richardson was also charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sifford also had outstanding warrants for felony possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed gun and resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer.
