SALISBURY — As much as an inch of rain could fall in the region by Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service said showers will continue today, with heavier rain possibly developing by Wednesday night.

Temperatures will be in the low 60s both days, with a low of about 60 tonight. Cold air is forecast to follow the rain, though, with the low Wednesday night forecast for 36.
