SALISBURY — A stabbing victim taken to the emergency room last night recalled very few details about the assault.
According to a Salisbury Police report, a 25-year-old woman was cut by a 6-inch knife during an attempted robbery about 8 p.m.
The woman told police a vehicle pulled up next to her and a man jumped out and demanded money.
The woman had been walking from Moreland Park toward Gold Hill Drive., the report said, and told the man she didn’t have anything.
Authorities said the woman then lunged at the robber and struggled with the knife before being injured.
She was unable to give officers a description of the man or the vehicle.
After calling a friend for help, the woman was taken to the hospital. Hospital officials contacted Salisbury Police after she arrived.
Salisbury Police said they are investigating the assault.
