Herman Myers Wedding
MAIDEN — Leslie Victoria Herman of Maiden and Andrew Hampton Myers of Salisbury were united in marriage Oct. 15, 2011, at St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ.
The Rev. Ray Jachowski and the Rev. Jeremy Varner officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony, which was immediately followed by a reception.
The bride was escorted by her father, Anthony Herman, and attended by Lillie Sims of Lake City, Fla., as maid of honor. Her bridesmaids included Jenny Powers, Peyton Pressley, Anna Sunderland and sister of the groom Karis Van Althuis. Taylor Beard, Sophie Frye, Faith Herman, Grace Herman and Kayla Johnson were junior bridesmaids.
Father of the groom Dickie Myers and brother of the groom Jesse Myers stood as best men. Serving as groomsmen were brother of the groom Daniel Myers, Stephen Gautschi, Zach Gonzales, brother of the bride Mack Herman, Daniel Lloyd and Shawn Lloyd. Junior ushers were Blair Herman, Owen Sims and Hunter Wilson.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Herman and the granddaughter of Ms. Leslie Frye and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lancaster, all of Maiden. A graduate of Maiden High School, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Carolina State University, graduating as valedictorian. Leslie is currently a medical student at VCOM Medical School in Spartanburg, S.C.
The groom is the son of Dickie and Kim Myers and the grandson of Mrs. Lorraine Myers and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Morgan, all of Salisbury. A graduate of West Rowan High School, Andrew received a degree in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University, where he graduated in the Honors Program. He is employed by Baxter Health Care.
The couple honeymooned for a week in Jefferson.
