Ciccone Safley Wedding
CHARLOTTE — Shekinah Joy Ciccone of Fort Mill, S.C., and Jared Thomas Safley of Davidson were united in marriage Sept. 24, 2011, at the NS Alexander Homestead.
Pastor Russell Gibson officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception.
The bride was escorted by her father, Pastor KD Ciccone, and attended by Mrs. Cindy Stimpfel of Long Island, N.Y., as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Meg Aiello of Gastonia and Jan Dowling of Salisbury. Flower girls were Trinity Wall of Fort Mill and Kaylin Dowling of Salisbury.
James Safley stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mike Childs of Mooresville, Eric Dowling of Salisbury and Denny Puckett of Charlotte. Josh Ciccone of Fort Mill was junior usher.
The bride is the daughter of Pastor KD and Joyce Ciccone of Fort Mill and the granddaughter of Ferdinand and Catherine Stimpfel and Daniel and Margorie Ciccone, all of Long Island, N.Y. A 2003 graduate of Lake Norman High School, Shekinah received a degree in Nursing Assistant from Central Piedmont Community College in 2005. She is employed by Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville.
The groom is the son of James and Judy Safley of Salisbury and the grandson of the late Foil and Lillian Corriher of China Grove and the late Martin and Leona Safley of Salisbury. A 1989 graduate of West Rowan High School, Jared received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1995. He is employed by Wall Street Capitol in Charlotte.
Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple are making their home in Davidson.
