Parr Hattaway Wedding
CHARLOTTE — Kirby Olivia Parr and Alex Lynn Hattaway were married Oct. 22, 2011, at St. Mary’s Chapel. Pastor Jim Lytle officiated the noon ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Bonterra Dining and Wine Room.
Presented in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted by her father. Attendants were Cassie Parsons DeSha, Megan Parsons Daughaday and Debbie Hattaway O’Neail. Caitlin Hattaway was junior bridesmaid, and Amaris Daughaday and Sophia DeSha were flower girls. Seth Hattaway was ring bearer.
Arthur Hattaway was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Geremie DeSha, Michael Graham and James O’Neail.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Parr and the granddaughter of Margaret R. and the late W.O. Anderson. A graduate of Garinger High School, Charlotte, and Flagler College, St. Augustine, Fla., Kirby is a housing coordinator at Community Link.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hattaway Sr. of Salisbury and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hattaway, the late Mrs. Ida Powles and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Bost. A graduate of Salisbury High School and UNCC, Alex is an environmental inspector with the Water Quality Department of Mecklenburg County.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Jamaica and reside in Concord.
