Tired of creating the same old boring Christmas crafts? Join fellow geeks at the Cabarrus County Public Library in Kannapolis as they create Geek Gingerbread men Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. Decorate cookies geek style as your favorite “Star Trek,” Harry Potter, vampire, zombie or “Lord of the Rings” character. • On Wednesday, Dec. 7, 3-5 p.m., create Ornament Magic. Children of all ages can stop in the children’s room and make an ornament to hang on the tree or in their room. No registration required.
• Thursday, Dec. 8, 4-5 p.m., see Mark Daniels, A Little Holiday Magic — a 40-minute program of the fun and excitement. The entire family will see storytelling, magic tricks, book talking, puppetry, music and audience participation. Don’t miss the indoor snowstorm. For all ages; no registration required.
• Celebrate Kwanzaa Wednesday, Dec. 19, 4-5 p.m. Join special guest Lucille Suggs, to learn about Kwanzaa and make a special craft to take home. All ages welcome; no registration required.
• Family Story Time Thursday, Dec. 15, 10-10:30 a.m. The Kannapolis Fire Department will visit with their turnout gear. All ages welcome; no registration required.
