Three face drug charges following two searches

Three people face drug charges in separate incidents investigated by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Jesse Mavrick Minton, of 406 W. Main St., Apt. 7, Rockwell, is being held under $35,000 bond, charged with possession of a firearm by felon, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, possession with intent to sell cocaine, possession with intent to sell marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia
On Wednesday, members of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the Salisbury Police Department executed a search warrant at Minton’s home. During the search, investigators found and seized approximately 180 grams of marijuana, 14 grams of cocaine, and a handgun. Minton, 26, was arrested and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under bond, pending a first appearance in court today.
In the second incident, Tempestt Equnthia Hoover and Trisha Marie Nelson were charged with numerous drug violations after a search of 3990 Statesville Blvd., Lot 4.
On Thursday, members of the Sheriff”s Office executed a search warrant at the home of Hoover and Nelson, who were both arrested after being found in possession of controlled substances.
During the search, investigators found and seized approximately nine grams of marijuana, four MDMA (also known as ecstasy) tablets, nine hydrocodone tablets and six Xanax tablets.
Hoover was charged with maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, possession with intent to sell schedule I controlled substance, possession with intent to sell schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $15,000 secured bond.
Nelson was charged with possession with intent to sell schedule III controlled substance, possession with intent to sell schedule IV controlled substance, trafficking in opium by possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $10,000 secured bond.
