The Salisbury Police charged a man with receiving or transferring stolen vehicles.
Samuel Jason Smith, 33, was charged June 20 at 500 E. Innes St. where Brenda Way Kinser reported the car stolen, a report said.

– Mary Gierucki Lipscomb reported on June 22 the theft of a lawnmower from 1637 Colony Road.
– Marisol Martinez Beltran reported on June 22 a back windshield was broken out of a vehicle parked at 712 N. Church St.
– Doris Jean Wheeler reported on June 22 someone stole two bottles of prescription medications from her home, 136 Dunham Ave.
– Someone damaged a lock to a vehicle that belonged to Compass Group USA while it was parked at JCPenney’s, 1935 W. Jake Alexander Blvd.
– Susan Gudger Burrell reported on June 22 a burglary at 1403 S. Fulton St.
– George Melvin McGee reported on June 22 an armed robbery at 999 W. Bank St./Institute Street.
– Nikki Giovanni Pearson reported on June 22 someone disconnected the exhaust pipe from her vehicle at 31 Knox St.
– Judy Diane Teal, 52, was charged June 20 with simple assault or affray.
– Derrell James Jones, 23, was charged June 22 with cruelty to animals.
– Jamie Jericho Horton, 17, was charged June 22 with assault inflicting serious injury at 143 Parrish St. Police said he tried to assault his mother with a knife.
